把 T 恤、染色牛仔褲、球鞋、吉他這些行頭，跟瀟灑、率性、衝勁、活力這些性格融合在一起，給人一種年輕的感覺，來自加拿大的布萊恩亞當斯就是用這樣的感覺把搖滾樂變得很年輕，歲月未曾在他所寫的流行搖滾歌曲上留下痕跡。布萊恩亞當斯譜寫過無數膾炙人口的流行搖滾樂、抒情搖滾佳作與電影主題曲。其中包括 Heaven、( Everything I Do ) I Do It For You、All For Love、Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman 等四首排行冠軍曲，而 ( Everything I Do ) I Do It For You 這首為電影「俠盜王子羅賓漢」打造的主題曲更在英國締造了蟬聯１６週冠軍的空前紀錄，此紀錄至今仍未被超越。
　　2005 年歲末，布萊恩亞當斯首度發行雙ＣＤ精選大碟【Anthology】，完整蒐錄他長達廿五年的搖滾生涯中３６首重量級代表作，包括電影「俠盜王子羅賓漢」主題曲 《( Everything I Do ) I Do It For You》，首支勇奪全美冠軍抒情經典《Heaven》，電影「這個男人有點色」冠軍主題曲《 Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman？》，與史汀、洛史都華合唱電影「豪情三劍客」冠軍主題曲《All For Love》，還有《Summer Of `69》、《Straight From The Heart》、《Run To You》、《Please Forgive Me》、《Heat Of The Night 》等全美流行榜 TOP 10 單曲，以及《When You're Gone》、《Cloud Number Nine》、《Here I Am 》( 動畫片「小馬王」主題曲 )、《Let's Make A Night To Remember》、《Thought I'd Died And Gone To Heaven》等英國金榜 TOP 10 暢銷曲。此外，還有《So Far So Good》、《I'm Not The Man You Think I Am》 等２首年度新創作。

　　1959 年 11 月 5 日，Bryan Adams 出生於加拿大溫哥華。１６歲那年，他離開了學校和他的第一個樂團『Shock』四處旅行演出。
　　1977 年他加入了一個小有名氣的 glam-rock 樂團『Sweeny Todd』。參與製作做完樂團的兩張專輯後，在經紀人 Bruce Allen 和詞曲人 Jim Vallance 的勸說下，Bryan Adams 開始了自己的個人演唱階段。
　　1980 年，他出版了第一張個人同名專輯，但即使在他的家鄉，這張專輯也沒有引起多大的迴響，但隨後他於 1981 年推出的《You Want It, You Got It》卻使他在加拿大北方成了一名真正的明星，這張專輯也產生了四首加拿大排行榜上榜單曲。

 

Bryan Adams 1983 年的專輯《Cuts Like a Knife》第一次真正打入巨大的美國市場，並在不到一年的時間內達到黃金銷量。隨著單曲《Straight From The Heart》登上告示牌單曲排行榜的第十名以及幾首熱門單曲在ＭＴＶ電視節目的播放，Bryan Adams 從美國開始了他歷經歐洲、日本、澳大利亞等國的世界巡迴演唱會。

　　到了 1991 年６月，Bryan Adams 為電影【Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves】所做的主題曲《( Everything I Do ) I Do It For You》。這首歌就像導彈一樣直沖排行榜，第一週就佔據了美國和加拿大排行榜的冠軍寶座，並被預先訂購了三十八萬張，這也破了Ａ＆Ｍ唱片公司的銷售紀錄，作為美國歷史上第二成功的單曲 ( 僅次於《We Are The World 》)，它也加速了 Bryan Adams 新專輯的出版。
　　1991 年７月，Bryan Adams 發行新專輯《Waking Up The Neighbours》，這張專輯迅速登上英國專輯榜第一並創紀錄的保持了十六個星期，兩個月內這張專輯瘋狂銷售了五百五十萬張，並且在十個國家拿到冠軍。至目前為止，這張專輯在世界範圍內的銷量已經遠遠突破了一千萬張。接著下來 Bryan Adams 花了幾乎三年進行他的世界巡迴演出。而Ａ＆Ｍ唱片公司於 1993 年發行了他的一張精選專輯，這張精選輯由於那首冠軍單曲《Please Forgive Me》而賣出了一千三百萬張。同年，Bryan Adams 和 Sting 以及 Rod Stewart 為電影【The Three Musketeers】錄製的《All For Love》也成了排行榜上的大贏家。
