這首《Satomi Hakken-Den》在歐美國家完全沒知名度，但在日本、港台等亞洲國家可說是紅的不得了。主唱John O' Banion已於2007年的2月14日 過世，享年59歲。他在80年代初期有小紅一下，曾出過4張正式的錄音室專輯，包括1983年在日本推出專為電影所做的『Satomi Hakken-Den』專輯，最後一張是1997年復出之作『Hearts』專輯，但除了Satomi Hakken Den並沒有出名的歌，版主在文尾硬是po了一條”I Don't Want To Lose Your Love”，對他有興趣的格友可聽聽看，還不錯說。

這是日本電影"新里見八犬傳"的主題曲，主要演員都是當時日本的最紅的演員，包括玉女偶像藥師丸，性格偶像小生真田廣之（最近演過"七夜怪談"電影版）以及千葉真一等。電影本身是一部改編自日本民間傳說的神怪片，卻請來外國人寫作及演唱英文的主題曲，在當時可謂一大創舉，以至於９０年代的日本偶像劇經常選用西洋藝人的作品作為主題曲，也就稀鬆平常、見怪不怪。然經過時間的淬煉，人們對"新里見八犬傳"這部電影已經不復記憶，這首抒情悅耳的主題曲卻流傳久遠，即使在今天，網路上仍然經常有人在詢問這首歌曲。 根據多位樂友的來信，Satomi hakken-den的英文讀音，就是"里見八犬傳"的日文發音。謹此致謝！
