曾經來華演唱的80-90年代流行樂壇的頭號天后葛洛麗雅伊斯特芬，榮獲數次葛萊美獎、全美音樂獎、美國告示牌雜誌等大獎肯定及各大英美排行榜上的常客，亦是進入21世紀令一竿流行女歌手敬畏三分的歌壇大姐大，更獲得2000年全美音樂終身成就獎的榮耀。在就讀大學的時候認識了Miami Latin Boys，以半學半樂的方式從事音樂事業。隨後Miami Latin Boys的團名不久後更名為Miami Sound Machine，並發行了單曲和專輯唱片，從76年身為Miami Sound Machine的當家女歌手，葛洛麗雅與榮獲首屆拉丁葛萊美獎年度製作人的夫婿Emilio一起勇闖歌壇，以熱情拉丁舞曲和流行抒情歌曲征服拉丁地區及歐美各地。而葛洛麗雅天生演唱才華及創作功力，使她成為Miami Sound Machine的焦點人物，因此從87年樂團名稱更動為Gloria Estefan &Miami Sound Machine到 89年簡化為Gloria Estefan，以個人姿態出現在大眾面前。她的家喻戶曉的成名曲，包括：「Conga」、「Bad Boy」、「Falling In Love(Uh Oh)」、「Anything For You」、「1-2-3 」、「Here We Are」、「Can’t Stay Away From You」...等，使她演唱生涯走向最高峰。

在創造流行音樂的同時，她也帶動了全美的拉丁風潮， Gloria Estefan的成就提升了拉丁音樂晉升主流市場的超強競爭力，無限拓寬拉丁音樂動感與抒情的魔力，歌唱生涯至今累積三座葛萊美獎與1座拉丁葛萊美獎，之後她因意外嚴重受傷，很多人預言她將無法重新站立起來，更不用說回到舞臺上唱歌。但是她卻十分堅強地奇蹟般地康復過來。96年榮膺演唱亞特蘭大奧運會歌「Reach」，99年與金獎影后梅莉史翠普合演電影，並與’NSync合唱同名主題曲「Music Of My Heart」，歌曲不但躍登排行亞軍，還入圍奧斯卡最佳電影主題曲殊榮，2000年親自執導拉丁冠軍曲「No Me Dejes De Querer」音樂錄影帶，93、95、2000年的專輯「Mi Tierra」、「Abriendo Puertas」、「Alma Caribena」也證明她在搶攻流行大餅之餘，對拉丁音樂本源的努力不懈精神。Gloria Estefan以全球累積超過7000萬張的專輯銷售，寫下流行樂壇史上最成功的拉丁跨界藝人紀錄。曾經在1996年被Billboard雜誌推選為#1舞曲藝人的Gloria，其充滿拉丁動感熱情的細胞，始終在她其音樂中鮮明跳躍，並將這種熱情注入新碟中，流行又復古、動感中不失柔情，為Gloria的音樂生涯寫下另一篇扉頁。(以上資料來自博客來音樂館)
