在70年代受到英國本地年輕人的瘋狂喜愛的「灣市狂飆者」（Bay City Rollers）於1975年推出翻唱「四季合唱團」（Four Seasons）的名曲「Bye Bye Baby」，創下連續六週冠軍的紀錄，之後又以「Give a Little Love」奪下3週冠軍，儼然是當時英國最爆紅的偶像團體。成名之後被遠在大西洋彼岸的ARISTA唱片公司總裁克里夫戴維斯（Clive Davis）相中，挑選曾收錄在1974年發行過的專輯中最不起眼的一首作品「Saturday Night」，重新錄製後在美國推出，同時以非常高的預算做電視、電台強力放送，造成了史無前例的轟動，也讓「灣市狂飆者」在1976年初登上了全美冠軍寶座。(以上資料來自博客來網路書店)
